I still get up at six in the morning, go to the restaurant to prepare the broth…God knows how much I should prepare for today’s takeout orders. I just hope the day will turn out good but I guess that is the only way I can look at.
Being in the restaurant business for 20 years, I got to know a few clients (friends) who just would stay a little bit longer to see me working behind the sushi bar, have a sip of sake whatnot, and probably we found many laughters.
I think what I really miss is the people – some call clients, but I call them my friends.
