Tibet Kitchen is a must-visit, one of a kind restaurant in Calgary serving some of the rarest cuisine available in the city. Nestled in the heart of Kensington, Tibet Kitchen and its owner Tenzin, provide a quaint space to escape the bustle on 14th Street and unwind over some great soul recharging food.
Since learning to cook alongside his father, Tenzin has shared with his community a taste of Tibet for anyone who seeks out a delightful dining experience. The full earthy flavours in his recipes carry traditions and frequently attract Tibetans from abroad, also seeking a taste of home. We feel lucky to be able to eat and experience his food to our hearts desires, right here in our city!
Tibet Kitchen serves food with a purpose – to delight the taste buds but also to preserve Tibet culture through traditional recipes and educating others about Tibet. Afterall, understanding the rich culture is key to having full appreciation for the delicious food. We highly recommend you to give him a visit, and try the famous momos (traditional Tibetan dumplings) and savoury butter tea!
